Ghostly Pudding Milk Shake

A quick and simple milk shake to serve to your loved ones to get them into the Halloween spirit! This would also be great to serve at any Halloween party.

Ingredients:
1 package of melting/baking chocolate
3 cups cold milk
1 pkg. (4-serving size) Vanilla Flavor Instant Pudding
1/2 cup thawed Whipped Topping

Directions:
1. Melt chocolate in microwaveable bowl on HIGH 1 min., stirring after 30 sec. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Use clean small paintbrush to paint a ghost face on inside of each of four clear 8-oz. plastic cups with the melted chocolate. Refrigerate until ready to use.

2. Place milk and dry pudding mix in 1-qt. pitcher with tight-fitting lid; cover. Shake vigorously 1 min. or until well blended.

3. Pour into prepared glasses; top with the whipped topping. Serve immediately. (Mixture thickens as it stands.)


Witch’s Brew

I have been posting Halloween recipes for cookies, cakes and brownies but I have yet to post anything that those ghouls and goblins can quench their thirst with. So here you go. A quick and easy punch recipe that your little goblins can help make.

Ingredients:
3 pints purple grape juice
1 1/2 pints club soda
grapes
apples

Directions:
Mix the grape juice and soda in a pitcher. Cut the apple into small chunks. Float the fruit in the brew just before serving. Like magic, the grapes and apples will look just like eyes and teeth. Make a swizzle broomsticks for each cup, with a straw and black paper cut into a fringe.


Peppermint Pattie Steamer

Quick, simply and yummy treat for one.

Ingredients:

2-1/2 to 3 Peppermint Patties
1 cup 2% milk

Directions:

1. Remove wrappers from peppermint patties; break into pieces. Place candy and 2 to 3 teaspoons milk in 8-oz. mug. Microwave at HIGH for 30 seconds; stir. If necessary, microwave at HIGH an additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each heating, until candy is melted and mixture is smooth when stirred.

2. Slowly stir in remaining milk. Microwave at HIGH 1 minute; stir. If necessary, microwave an additional 15 seconds at a time until the desired temperature is reached. Garnish with shredded chocolate.


Mango Iced Tea

Ingredients:

1 1/2 quarts cold water
6 high quality black tea bags
2 cups mango nectar
Sugar
1/4 cup fresh mint leaves
Mango sliced thin

Directions:

Bring water to a boil, turn off heat add tea bags and steep until tea is dark, about 5 minutes. Remove bags, add mango nectar and add sugar, to taste. Stir until sugar is dissolved. Place in pitcher and add mint leaves. Pour over ice and garnish with mango slices.


Caramel Milkshake

This is a great way to cool down during the hot summer months. It’s also a quick and easy recipe that the kids can help with.

Ingredients:

1 cup cold milk
1/3 cup HERSHEY’S Classic Caramel Sundae Syrup
2 cups vanilla ice cream

Directions:

Place milk, sundae syrup and ice cream in blender container. Cover; blend until smooth and thick. Serve immediately.


Chocolate Cherry Milkshake

This is a kid friendly recipe that children can help you with.

Ingredients:

4 scoops (about 2 cups) vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt
3/4 cup cold milk
1/4 cup HERSHEY’S Syrup
8 maraschino cherries, stems removed
Whipped topping & additional cherry(optional)

Directions:

1. Place ice cream, milk, syrup and cherries in blender container. Cover; blend until smooth.

2. Garnish with whipped topping and cherry, if desired.
